The Borutho Group of Companies
Incorporated in April 2010 as a private company, Borutho sought to meet the energy demands of South Africa. ‘Borutho’ is a Northern Sotho word meaning ‘Heat’ or ‘Warmth’. Borutho was started by the father and son duo in 2008 and has steadily gained the trust of market through a strong orientation towards solutions and partnerships.
Borutho believe energy is an essential part of many human activities and it's critical to the social and economic development of our country. We are committed to the implementation of South Africa's NDP and National Integrated Energy Plan (IEP). Our continued focus on job creation, skills development, supplier development, enterprise development and rural integration sets us apart from many of our competitors.
BORUTHO Social Responsibility
We endeavor to create jobs, partner with the local community for rural integration projects and focus on skills development initiatives by engaging the local communities.
We run numerous social responsibility programs including bursaries and mentorships and job skills training and we have a number of Supplier and Enterprise Development programs in place.
Our positioning in the market puts us in good stead as we strive to be a proudly South African entity with strong ties to many of the largest South African energy companies.
